OH MY GAWD. Move over Tacos La Villa and Taco T, there is a new sheriff in town.
The rule reigns supreme once again: if it looks like you're going to get food poisoning you either will or you're about to eat some of the best food in your life. Julia's Taqueria is attached to a local Mexican Supermarket with no flashy signs, bells or whistles, and questionably dusted aisles. But, LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THESE TACOS. I knew it was going to be good when I walked in and one of the guys behind the counter was hand making tortillas. Pending your meat each taco ranges from $2-$3 with most being $2.
I ended up getting the pollo, asada, chorizo, campechanos (asada+chorizo), and barbacoa. With the prices being $2 I thought, "oh lil baby taco action." I ordered 5 thinking small shell. Nope. These were pretty much full sized shells. Challenge accepted. I ate all 5 and had to roll myself back to work. Power ranking of tacos ordered:
1. Asada
2. Campechanos
3. Chroizo
4. Barbacoa
5. Pollo
I don't know what their cows eat or what magic they work into their steak but the asada taco made me say a prayer to the Taco Gods thanking them for the blessing at our table.
Their raw bar isn't extensive but has the perfect essentials: cilantro, pickled red onion, pickled white onions, an avacado-y salsa verde, 2 different red sauces (one was hotttttt).
I didn't get anything else on the menu and, to be honest, probably never plan too? The tacos were that good. Though, I'd bet their burritos are absolute fire, too.
Don't let the shopping center, location, or outside fool you. This place is the real deal. -

One of my favorite places to eat real authentic Mexican food, they also have a second location near the big chicken. They have lots of great options to choose from!

Food is amazing! The tacos are served with handmade tortillas. Service was lacking because the server was alone on a busy Sunday afternoon. Not her fault, management needs to hire an extra person. But overall I'll definitely be back for the food!
